Warming Station
FYI - the Warming Station will be open through the weekend, if you'd
like to volunteer or donate.
We just sent the following press release to the media.
Martha Ireland, Shelter Providers Network coordinator
Emergency Warming Station Opens
Snowfall triggered the opening of the Warming Station at 516 E.
First, Port Angeles.
This relief station for people who have no shelter during the day
opened Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will remain
open through the weekend.
This is the second time this winter that harsh weather has triggered
the service, which is staffed by volunteers in a Serenity House of
Clallam County facility.
The Warming Station is located in the Hygiene Center, next door
to Serenity House’s Street Outreach Shelter, which is open every
night, year ‘round, from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., at 520 E. First.
For more information, or to volunteer or donate, contact the Serenity
House administrative office, (360) 452-7224
